The Day for the Cause has supported the Providence St. Mary foundation by providing funds for:

•Hundreds of free screening mammograms to uninsured, underserved local women
•Outreach from a bilingual, bicultural nurse to educate women on the importance of getting screened
•Direct assistance (i.e. gas cards, gift cards for food and medicine, rent and utility payments and other urgent expenses not covered by insurance) for local cancer patients in financial need
•Cancer Survivorship Clinic to help people transition from cancer diagnosis to wellness by providing support services, education, and evidence-based wellness programs
•Cancer rehabilitation, specific to oncology patients to improve quality of life
•All funds stay in the area to provide life changing support for our neighbors in need
•Helps ensure the highest possible quality of cancer care is available in the Walla Walla Valley through support of equipment, technology, and programs
